Salicornia rubra (red glasswort) Community Type

The Salicornia rubra (red glasswort) community type occurs in the drawdown zone of saline or alkaline seeps, basins, swales, pond and lake margins. This site is an intermittent pothole east of Browning, Montana on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation (elevation is approximately 1,277 m; 4,050 ft).
