Artemisia cana/agropyron smithii (silver sagebrush/western wheatgrass) Habitat Type

This habitat type occupies sites that are less saline/alkaline that the Sarcobatus vermiculatus/Agropyron smithii (black greasewood/western wheatgrass) habitat type as indicated by the presence of deciduous trees in background. Location is along Dry Creek, a tributary of the Tongue River, south of Miles City, Montana (elevation is approximately 879 m; 2,900 ft).
