Abies lasiocarpa/Ledum glandulosum (subalpine fir/Labrador tea) Habitat Type, Ledum glandulosum (Labrador tea) phase

Occurs at mid to high elevations. Most common in the eastern portion of the Kootenai National Forest and the western portion of the Flathead National Forest in and around the Tally Lake Ranger District. The drier Ledum glandulosum (Labrador tea) phase is associated with hillsides that are typically only wet in the spring and/or early summer. This site is west of Olney, Montana.
