High Mountain Meadow

Typical of a high mountain meadow dominated by the Carex rostrata (beaked sedge), Carex aquatilis (water sedge), and Carex simulata (short-beaked sedge) habitat types. This site is a high mountain meadow near Storm Lake south of Georgetown Lake west of Anaconda, Montana (elevation is approximately 2,499 m; 8,200 ft).
